The Nexus 2000 and 3000 are Evolution Aqua's established filter system incorporating the industry proven Kaldnes Moving Bed coupled with the now recognized 'Answer' mechanical filter and the new 'fines polisher with air backwash'.  The Answer is a mechanical self cleaning micron-screen which is extremely low maintenance.

Combined, they provide outstanding water clarity and quality.  The Nexus 2000 and 3000 systems are designed for gravity fed configuration only.

How the Answer works - The Answer sits in the central vortex chamber of the Nexus and prevents all solids over 200 microns from entering the biological stage.  The Answer is robustly engineered out of stainless steel and a proven technology within the industry.  The pump that provides the power and cleaning action, draws filtered water from inside the Answer.  It is then pumped into a hollow rotor arm.  At each end of the arm are nozzles angled at 45 degress.  Water pumped through these nozzles cause the arm to rotate.  Water is forced out at high pressure against the inside of the screen continuously, causing the water to backwash through the screen to the outside.  The result is that particles lodged on the outside,which are naturally trying to get through, are forced away and eventually settle at teh bottom of the central chamber.  Here, they can be drained to waste.

Nexus 2000 and 3000 systems are complete units and include the Nexus body, Answer self-cleaning micron screen, central orifice plate, fines polisher with air backwash, air diverter valve, unionized ball valves to waste, and Kaldnes media for the bio-reactor (fluidized Kaldnes).

The Nexus 2000 and Nexus 3000 are the same system in 2 sizes for different pond volumes.

Upgrade your existing central sponge blockor Answer fitted unit to the new Nexus Eazy. The Eazy features Evolution Aqua's solids removal system utilising static Kaldnes. The Kaldnes is retained in a 316 stainless steel enclosure and has been proven to trap incredibly small waste particles, without disrupting flow through the system. Cleaning the Kaldnes is a simple matter of turning on the air tap to the settlement area, thus agitating the static Kaldnes. Waste is then dislodged from the media, and purged through the central vortex drain.

The Nexus Eazy 200 and 300 retro kit inlcudes all the necessary parts, plus additional Kaldnes media to upgrade your exisiting Nexus filter. Note - This Retro Kit will only fit Nexus  models manufactured prior to June 2006.
